Audit fees

A fee guide built around record condition

Our quotations reflect the number of application lines, the state of the source evidence and the depth of recalculation required.

Typical engagement ranges

EngagementIndicative feeUsually includes
Application register health checkFrom R18,500 excl. VATUp to 100 register lines, 20 sampled traces and a readiness session
Permit fee reconciliation auditR42,000–R95,000 excl. VATDefined population, source index, testing, exception register and close-out briefing
Close-out exception reviewFrom R24,000 excl. VATA bounded set of unresolved lines and an evidence-referenced close-out note

These are guidance ranges, not automatic prices. A written quotation is issued after a short scope call and review of a redacted register sample.

What changes the quotation

The main factors are application count, number of authorities, years and tariff versions covered, consistency of reference numbers, availability of assessment notices and receipts, amended applications, and whether line-by-line recalculation is required. Scanned records without searchable references can add indexing time.

We do not charge a subscription or require ongoing access. The quotation identifies assumptions, exclusions, included clarification rounds and any approved specialist input.

Payment stages

For engagements under R50,000 excluding VAT, 50% is due on acceptance and the balance before final issue. Larger engagements are normally billed 40% on acceptance, 40% after draft findings and 20% before final issue. Alternative procurement arrangements can be considered for established organisations.

Avoidable cost

A clean application register and one nominated records contact usually reduce clarification time. Before scope, remove unrelated personal information and provide a sample that shows genuine naming and evidence conditions.

Request a scope call to receive a written quotation. No payment is taken through this website.
